To Chip Well - Set Up With Your Right Side Through!
The absolute best way to better chipping is to set-up feeling your right (trailing) side connected to your intended finish position. When you get this right, it is pretty easy to eliminate chunked and skulled shots, and you get a far better feel -at address- of swinging away from and through to your swing target, i.e. your intended finish position, by simply turning your body. Take a look!
Increase Your Distance with the Down Cock
One of the most common swing errors is an early release of the wrist cock during the downswing. The thrusting to straight of the arms prior to impact causes all sorts of havoc. In this video you will see how the good players actually increase their wrist cock as their hands approach their right hip pocket in the downswing. Work on this move and you will substantially increase your distance and ...
The Three Insides Drill
I invested an entire off-season working with my eight iron specifically on this drill. My next season produced tremendous accuracy, consistency and most importantly the predictability of quality ball flights. Give this one a try and let me know know your experience.
Solid Contact Every Time!
One of the most frustrating aspects of the game is mishit shots. In this video tip we show you how to deliver your DOWN (i.e. where you brush the grass) to produce solid contact consistently and predictably.
Escape from a Buried Lie in the Sand
When faced with a "fried egg" lie in the bunker, in this video tip, we show you how to confidently escape on your first try.
Footwork is Key to Power and Accuracy
Sam Snead taught me the importance of good footwork. In this video I share with you one of the keys to accuracy. Once you have viewed it and understand the motion of rolling across your right ankle rather than spinning out and over your right heel, practice ankle rolls until you get the feel of firing your right side in one direction only - toward the target!
Feel Wide Away for More Power
We all want to hit it farther, consistently and predictably. There is a simple way to gradually build the power of your swing. It starts with that first two feet of your backswing, commonly referred to as the Takeaway.
The Key to Bunker Play - Rock the Baby
There are two major misconceptions about greenside bunker play: a) focus on hitting 2" behind the ball; and b) EXPLODE the ball out of the bunker. Both of these make the player swing way too hard when in a greenside bunker. When you learn to splash the sand from beneath and beyond the ball out onto the green ( see video tip: Greenside Bunkers - Splash the Sand), you will be able to swing smooth...
Splash the Sand from Beneath & Beyond the Ball
One of the most common misunderstandings about bunker play is the notion that we have to focus our attention on getting the club head to enter the sand about 2 inches behind the ball. In this video you will come to understand that the ball rides out of the bunker on the cushion of sand taken from beneath and beyond the ball - not the sand taken from behind the ball!
For Solid Contact, Keep Your Neck Against the Wall
Every one of my students states 'consistency' as a goal. I always assume they mean 'good consistency' - not bad consistency! Solid contact is a key to consistency and the predictability of ball flights. In this video you will come to understand its not "Head Down" but rather "Left Neck" staying put. Here, have a look at what I mean.
Feel Your Thrust to Straight for Power
In this video you will learn the feel of delivering your club head speed, rather than using it up or wasting it prior to or at impact. The key to good golf is to still be accelerating at impact.
Hit it Straight with Proper Wrist Cock
Just think what hitting it straight would do for your golf scores. In this video you will come to understand the importance of working on the feel of proper wrist cock so you can keep the face square.
The Chip Consistently - Feel the Hammer
When chipping - gaining the confidence to allow your clubhead to simply swing - instead of guiding it with tense hands, wrists and forearms comes from the simple feel of swinging a hammer. In this video you will learn to apply that feel to your chipping game.
When Chipping Proper Wrist Cock is Your Friend
In this video you will come to understand how to cock your wrists properly when chipping, so that you don't add tension to your hands and forearms. In this manner, you will overcome your fear of hitting your chips too far when you cock your wrists.

Of all the golf instructional videos that I have watched, this man has taught me more than any others. His videos are short and to the point. I tell anyone that actually wants to learn and get better to look up GOLFSTRUCK on youtube. He helped me find a consistent powerful swing just before our club championship which helped me win the seniors division for the 3'rd straight year. I have a very good short game and the key for me around the green is super soft hands and back elbow on back hip.
